Annie Laurie Linn Ford (Linn) saw her first car in Welch, WEST VIRGINIA; moved during the first grade to Charleston.  Papa came back from France in 1918 (about the 9th grade), and became principal at Dunbar HS in 1919. She attended Dunbar HS for 4 years. "Met Phil at 15 years old, in Dunbar."  After HS, Phil went to Chicago to technical school, and to Marshall College, West Virginia University. His brother George went to Indiana.  Linn taught in Nitro while Phil finished college. He worked at Dupont in Baltimore, MD, before moving to Cleveland, OH.
